Just trying to wake up the site.  Here's a good one -

I'd been retired for about 9 months and getting a little stir crazy and feeling better as the chronic fatigue faded way from years of working a shitty schedule as the man in charge. I kinda felt I was drinking to many shots of rum, vodka and bourbon during the day (cuz I could) while I was going about my business of figuring out what my business was.  So I happened to walk in at an opportune time at the local Ford dealer and they offered me a part-time position as a Service Advisor.  25-35 hours a week.  10 hour days. Sounded cool. Gave it a shot. Love the job so far.  Apparently I communicate well with the bizarre people that lurk everywhere and the normal ones also.  So all my training in Employee relations, conflict resolution, Assistance programs and stress management is actually paying off.

Retired at 56 - re-employed at 57.  I feel good. 4 mile drive to work and fun group of techs to work with.

Besides me.......and trump

George Washington is heard to tell Alexander Hamilton prior to crossing the Delaware that the "Continental Army is f'cked!" and "we gotta cross the river and attack the Hessians Christmas night while they are all passed out drunk and burping if we're gonna have a chance"
It worked

Anybody got any?

I for one have acquired a 2012 Skidoo Renegade adrenaline 800 ETEC with 5600 miles that is gonna get a Porker  off trail makeover.   Skis were trashed, so i bought a set of used DS skis off of Ebay.

I think they must be 3's cuzz the keel is the tallest I've ever seen.  I also have our 2006 GTX that needs a revamping - got a slightly used set of 2014 GTX dual runner skis for it.  The big question is can I adjust a bulkhead dent that I think left the Nun alone.  This project may be bigger than the Gade redo.

Pics to follow

General Snowmobile Discussion / Was up over the weekend - wet
« on: January 23, 2017, 10:11:34 AM »
Tom,I and the boys went up to the shack this past weekend.   It sucked.  Trails wernt bad - just rain and 30 degrees with occasional flecks of snow.  At least the snow did not dissappear as fast - but when it does freeze hard I pity the fool that slips and falls.  Gonna be a hard landing.  We left a day early after replacing a set of skis on one of my brothers sleds and came home saturday nite.  Gonna try it again Superbowl weekend.

General Snowmobile Discussion / Prime rib and frostbite
« on: January 19, 2016, 06:59:41 PM »
Last year on MLK weekend we ran into town (9-10 miles)  for prime rib at the Great Northern.  I got frost bit under the jaws riding this Polaris in 15 below temps.  Meant to git a better taller windshield then the RMK shorty - didn't doo it.  This year, Goodwrench is riding the RMK ( as he knows he's probably inheriting it next year) and I ride the 2007 GTX into town for Prime Rib at the Great Northern again on MLK weekend.  George is waiting for us on his venerable and dated 2003 RX1 turbo (AJ's favorite).  So as we leave to return to the shack so I can catch the packers gitting a whoopin and Goodwrench and Jake fire up the Xbox.  Andrew stops and his hands are getting old on the RMK - we switch for the remaining 5 miles.  I feel the telltale quick burn and know its too late.   Bitten again - right under the jaw.   Oh well,  part of the game - never got bit on my Skidoos tho
