Fron our local newspaper's web site...

VINELAND — Vernetta L. Dennis thought she had a deal, but when she allegedly didn’t get the kind of drugs she was promised in exchange for “renting out” her vehicle, she called police.

Police on Monday charged the 51-year-old woman on a narcotics offense.
Dennis, of the 600 block of East Wood Street, reportedly told police she twice loaned her maroon Hyundai Santa Fe to a casual acquaintance for the promise of drugs.

The second time, she loaned him the vehicle in exchange for the promise of rock cocaine.

When the man returned the vehicle several hours later, he gave her a white pow-dery substance. Dennis was upset because “she was expecting rock cocaine” and called police, according to the report.

Police later tested the powder and determined it was cocaine.

She was charged with possession of cocaine and released on a summons.

See tomorrow's The Daily Journal for more information.

A buddy of mine just sent me this info in an E-mail... I thought I would share.

Must of you may not know the name or his local hits but Robert Hazard (His band was Robert Hazard and the Heros) died today of cancer.. he was 59.

You may remember the 80s song "Girls Just wanna Have Fun by Cindi Lauper, he wrote that and Lynn and I heard it performed live by him many times before Lauper made it hers.
Lynn and I saw Hazard many times while we were first going out at places like The Ripley Music Hall on South Street in Philly.

Remember... This was the 80s

General - NON Snowmobile Discussion / Pinks All Out

Bunch of my drag racing buds hitched up and trailered their race cars to Englishtown early this morning for some racing.
Supposedly squid boy Rich and crew wanted 400 cars there that will run today and tomorrow so they can pick the final 16 that will have a crack at $10,000.00 and bragging rights on Sunday.
One guy... Kenny Testa has been on Pinks before and won and took the car he beat.

Not a fan of Corvettes, especially the newer (73 and up) ones. But a nice vintage one I can't help but look at.
Last time I saw this car it was in polyester spray on primer/filler.

This will be a show winner once it's done. My buddy did another that consistantly wins best in show on the local circuit and this guy wanted to beat that one.

Besides & are there any deals out there?
Shipping is the deal breaker... half again as much as a single card.

I shouldn't gripe 2G Micro with adaptor for Std. SD is 10.99... half what I paid two years ago... but I'm cheap :help:

The only free shipping I've found is the Hong Kong Fouie on E-bay and most of them are pushing 4G cards which may or may not be supported by devices that say they will accept up to 2G.

General Snowmobile Discussion / Loud Pipes Revisited
« on: June 09, 2008, 05:58:02 PM »
Maybe this will stop the bonehead argument for loud pipes that bikes are allowed to use them why can't we on the trails. This also addresses the idiots that buy those stupid "turtle shell" non DOT approved helmets. There are DOT apptoved shells but people would rather not spend the money for them because their head is worth less than $50.00.

Syracuse, NY (WSYR-TV) - Police agencies across New York State are launching a major traffic enforcement campaign that targets aggressive drivers and motorcycle riders.
Officers will be watching for motorcyclists sporting novelty helmets and loud exhausts. Police plan to ticket bikers who wear uncertified helmets. They'll fine drivers who have motorcycles with unmuffled engines.
"Obviously, it's a distraction and it scares other drivers. They (motorcyclists) might think that it adds to their benefit, if others hear them coming and then they'll see them, that's not necessarily true," Syracuse Police Sergeant Joel Cordone said.
The enforcement campaign starts today.
