Was this in the "Letters to the Editors" or something from on line?  A few months ago I sent a note regarding one of their polls and the choices they presented but really don't recall what was in it, now.  Haven't got the latest issue yet.  I do remember getting a response from them and I believe they asked permission to use it.  Embarrassing to not remember what I said.  :icon_redface:

Might wanna ease up on the Sailors Jerry, it'll do that, especially when time flies.

Ha, ha.  Funny.  Especially since the diabetes diagnosis.  Have to stay in VA guidelines, now.

I can finally thank Zirt for the kind words.  The issue came in today's mail so now I know what it was about.

It helps our grooming that the fellow who is generally elected president of the tourist assoc. not only own a marina with cabins for rent, he is also involved in another complex with rooms, cabins and a bar/restaurant, part owner of another bar and has a construction-excavation company on the island, too.  That means there are several guys on layoff during the winter who are used to driving heavy equipment and available to operate the groomers so the same guys don't have to groom everyday.

I stand by the comment of having some of the best maintained trails, period, when there is adequate snow.  things have come a long way the past 15 seasons since I've been here.

Yup.  And it should be added that while he is financially quite comfortable, more than middle Class, I'd say, he still isn't afraid to get dirt under his fingernails and operate some of the heavy equipment, himself, from time to time.

Yote,

I've known Denny since I was about 10yrs old which would be about 35yrs now. He doesn't think twice about getting dirty. He is extremely busy person however he always made time for me and the gang to have a few drinks.
