Old Indy Back in Service
« on: November 25, 2019, 10:10:09 AM »
Polaris wedge long track added to the stable.  E-start, reverse, fan cooled SKS.  Bolted up a pair of wide skis should be a fun ride for trail breaking and back woods bombing.  All new fuel system, carbs cleaned and jetted, clutch weights, charged battery, new headlight, all cleaned up and it fired like a champ.  A 1.5 lug track is on the to do list.
Just a typical snowmobiler...

Sleds:
2013 Polaris Switchback Assault 144 800
2007 Polaris Switchback 600 Wife's sled
1997 Arctic Cat Puma DLX 340 has more time on it last  season than the above sleds.

488 fan IMO was one of Polaris's best motors ever. Could be made surprisingly quick. Durable. Had a 87 Trail for 10 years. Lots of time spent modding it, and fun riding it
Summer SUCKS!!
